Resources for celebrating Andalusian culture in your English classes

At Milton, our products are designed to teach English in a practical way, connecting students with the real world and promoting intercultural understanding. We believe that learning a language goes beyond words; it is about understanding and connecting cultures. That is why, in this post, we offer you free resources on Andalusian culture, with activities that you can use to integrate the rich tradition of Andalusia into your English classes, adapted to all levels.

For Pre-Primary: Hello, Mil! includes specific content on Andalusian culture: festivals, gastronomy, monuments, artists and much more. It also offers downloadable worksheets, notes for teachers and teaching programme documents. Here are some sample materials, with three sets of downloadable worksheets and notes for teachers.

For Primary: Each Time Travellers book includes additional units on Andalusian regional culture, available in the Teacher’s Panel. Below are two sample lessons: one on Andalusian music and dance and another on Andalusian festivals. Both lessons include vocabulary and grammar exercises and small projects.

For Secondary: Each Brilliant Bright Future book includes extra units on regional cultural content. Here is a sample lesson on Andalusian festivals from Brilliant Bright Future ESO 1. It contains vocabulary, grammar and reading comprehension exercises.
