Our 10 best writing activities in English

More and more autonomous communities, families and teachers are expressing concern about the excessive use of digital devices in school environments, especially in nursery and primary schools. The Community of Madrid, for example, is working on a new decree to regulate the use of screens in schools, limiting access to them both in the classroom and at home while doing homework.

In this context, management teams are seeking alternatives that comply with regulations, maintain pedagogical quality and are easy to implement. According to the European Teacher Survey 2025, 90% of teachers believe that a balanced approach between printed and digital materials offers the best results, and 86% say they know how to effectively manage that balance. We must not forget that many digital tools allow for greater inclusion and adaptability in the classroom, which are so necessary for our students.

That’s why at Milton Education we’ve taken the initiative with Bookroom Bites, a supplement to Read & Play that allows for hybrid use of resources: printed readings alongside digital materials. What’s more, we provide practical classroom resources on our blog. Today we’re sharing our 10 best English writing activities, ready to use in class.
